Check in

What is the check-in?

Check-in is the time to access the transition zone to leave your cycle ready and your transition bags.

When is the check-in?

(T2) In the official hotel you must deliver the bag with the running material:

  • Friday, September 21 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, September 22 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

(T1) On Saturday, September 22 in the Embalse de Riosequillo:

  • From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (uninterrupted)
Why is it compulsory to check in the day before?

So that you can go more relaxed with your hands free on the day of the race, with no queues or crowds.

What equipment must I take for the check-in at T1 (Embalse de Riosequillo)?
  • The cycle with the rear sticker fixed
  • The helmet with the number stickers fixed (one at the front and another on the left-hand side)
  • Wearing the participant’s wristband
  • The cycling transition bag with its numbered sticker on the outside and with the equipment you will need:
    • COMPULSORY: helmet. Remember that it is not permitted to swim with the bib on, so you must leave it in the cycling bag.
    • OPTIONAL: bib number*, cycling shoes, cycling clothes (if you prefer to change), gels, water-bottles, sunglasses, sun cream, etc.

*Remember that swimming with the bib is allowed, as long as you swim with neoprene.

What equipment must I take for the check-in at Palacio de Cibeles?

The cycling to running transition bag with its numbered sticker on the outside and with the equipment you will need:

  • COMPULSORY: running shoes.
  • OPTIONAL: cap, sun cream, socks, sunglasses, etc.
If I cannot arrive in Madrid during check-in time, can someone else leave my equipment?

No. Every participant must leave their own equipment.
On race day no cycle or transition bag may be left.
Only the relay teams can leave their equipment using a single component.

When will we give you the chip?

At check-in time.

Does the chip have a neoprene band for the ankle?
Yes. The neoprene band and the chip must be returned on arrival at the finish.
