At 79 Kilometers from the capital, between the mountains of Gredos and Guadarrama, separated by the depression of the river Alberche, is one of the most charming tourist attractions in Madrid, San Martin de Valdeiglesias.

The distance to be covered by the triathletes in the Pantano de San Juan in San Martín de Valdeiglesias will be 1,900 meters. In this place the T1 will be set up, place from where the bicycle race will come out.

The bicycle race will be 90 km and will go directly from San Martín de Valdeiglesias to Madrid passing through different towns until arriving at the capital making entrance through the Casa de Campo where the T2 transition place will be located. In the T2 the half marathon will begin.

The triathletes must cover a total of 21 Km and 97,5 meters.

After leaving the bike at the Casa de Campo, you will run 5 km through this area until you reach the river area, crossing the Puente del Rey and going up to the downtown area through the Cuesta de la Vega. Once in the downtown, participants will have 2 laps, 8 km each, that runs mainly through the Calle Mayor, La Catedral de la Almudena, the Royal Palace, the Plaza de España, Paseo de Camoens and the Templo de Debod. In its final, on the last lap, the race on foot will enter the Puerta del Sol for its arrival at “Km 0”, where the Finish Line will be located.

SWIMMING 1.9KM

Swimming will take place on the beach of the Virgen de la Nueva, also known as “the beach of Madrid”, which in 2018 was declared a Blue Flag, a badge that demands compliance with water quality standards, safety, provision of general services and the management of the environment. It is the first indoor beach with blue flag of the Community of Madrid.

The distance to be covered by the triathletes in the Pantano de San Juan in San Martín de Valdeiglesias will be 1,900 meters. In this place the T1 will be set up, place from where the bicycle race will come out.

CYCLING 90KM

The bike race will be 90 km and will go through the Sierra Oeste, where the mountainous terrain predominates, giving way to other lower areas through which the Alberche and Perales rivers flow. The variety of landscapes, as well as the relief and the vegetal species that can be observed, are very valuable since this region runs between 500 and 1500 meters of altitude.

RUNNING 21KM

After leaving the bike at the Casa de Campo, you will run 5 km through this area until you reach the river area, crossing the Puente del Rey and going up to the downtown area through the Cuesta de la Vega. Once in the downtown, participants will have 2 laps, 8 km each, that runs mainly through the Calle Mayor, La Catedral de la Almudena, the Royal Palace, the Plaza de España, Paseo de Camoens and the Templo de Debod.
